Register for QUARANTINE DIARY PROJECT - SPRING 2020
ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP: Yes, you’re stuck inside – and you’re annoyed, cranky, uncertain… maybe even a little scared. You’re not alone! All of us need an outlet for our feelings and emotions right now – and of course, this makes you want to be with friends more than ever. In this online workshop, you’ll journal about what you’re thinking, feeling, and experiencing during the Coronavirus crisis. Not only will this give you the space to voice and write about what’s on your mind, but you’ll be documenting this moment in history as it unfolds for you personally. We’ll talk about quarantine experiences from the past, and use group prompts to sharpen our skills. Most importantly, we’ll inspire, comfort, and boost each others’ moods whenever it’s needed. Writers will have the option of including an excerpt from their diary in Uptown Stories’ Spring 2020 print anthology.
WHEN: Wednesdays and Fridays 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM, from 4/17-6/24, reading @ a time TBA - See Uptown Stories calendar.
WHERE: Remote learning via Zoom
TEACHER: Shamie Cuthbert
COST: A payment of $600 covers the full cost of our program, but, to ensure our workshops are accessible to all families, our tuition is pay-what-you-can.
