Register for POETRY IN MINIATURE OUTSIDE - FALL 2020
ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP: Poems are like miniature worlds, inviting us to think about the familiar in a new way. This workshop meets safely in-person, outdoors in the schoolyard of P.S. 187, and from there we go to Ft. Tryon Park together for a poetry adventure. Our young poets will use scavenger hunts and hands-on building activities to create avatars and dioramas out of natural objects that spark imagination and inspire poetry about whatever we want. Using poetry to imagine the fantastic out of the ordinary, we will make new sense out of the old chaos that confronts us every day.
Please note that before this workshop begins on 9/25, guardians will be asked to fill out additional paperwork related to COVID-19 protocols. Thank you!
